Hey there! It’s day 3 of the Papertrey Ink April Release Countdown and I’m continuing with my masculine cards! Today I’m highlighting the Special Guy stamp and die set and the fun Baseball T die!
My first card uses the new Special Guy stamp set. This set has a bunch of themes are were designed to use with the Baseball T die, but they work awesome on a coffee mug too! I love all the different variations you get with the Special Guy set. And there’s a stencil set to add little colorful touches like I did with the trees in the background.
Instead of the usual A2-sized card, I used the new Go-to Gift Card Book Dies. These dies can be used to make book-shaped cards, but they can be used just as an alternative card size. I love it! I added one of the gift card holders to this card which fits perfectly in this card. The awesome sentiment is from the Scene Everywhere: At the Lake set. For the background stripes, I used just one of the stamps in the Corrugated Metal stamp set. I love the rustic stripe look! The mug die is the previously-released The Mug Die (natch).
This next card uses the new Baseball T dies. I love, love, love dies like this. They are so versatile and can be customized for each recipient. In this case, I customized it for my hubby (don’t tell him, lol). This design is perfect for adding a birthday number or sports number to the jersey tee. I used the previously-released Numbers Die and Vintage Postage Sentiments stamp set on this one, and they work perfectly with the die!
For the background, I stamped a background with the Loosely Woven stamp set. I like the subtle look of stamping with the same color as the cardstock.
