Welcome back to the Papertrey Ink June release Countdown! Today I’ve got a card using the next set in the Psalm series, Psalm June!
I love cards with lots of details, but there’s something about a clean and simple card that just makes me so happy! This card shows you how easy it is to pull together a card with simple (but bold) elements. I started by making a background with blended ink. The “rays” were just made by using a piece of scrap paper as a mask. I used both yellow and orange inks to get more depth. Then I misted with water and white paint spray. After it was completely dried, I stamped the palm trees from the new Tuck It: Travel stamps in solid black.
The Psalm June sentiment was stamped on one of the dies from the previously-released Love to Layer: Decorative Bracket die set. To make sure I didn’t cover too much of the background, I trimmed the die cut along the bottom and placed it at the bottom of the card. This is a great way to get more from your large label dies. The last step was adding a smattering of rainstones.
Check out the PTI Blog for more peeks at Countdown Day 3! And don’t forget the release goes live on Tuesday, June 27th at 10 PM ET!
