Just a page for sharing some tips that have helped me in my crafting and in making my craftroom more organized!

Organizational Tips

Worktable Organization
I like to keep my most used items handy on my work table. These items fall into 3 categories: small tools, project containers, and larger tools. I keep all my small tools on my double decker lazy susan. The fact that this lazy susan is adjustable (up and down) depending on the height of your space or what you are storing. I also keep project cases on my work table. To keep my design work organized, I keep each monthly release in its own case. I have two sizes of project cases, small and large. When they are filled these cases can get pretty heavy. I found a metal rack that is supposed to be for storing pots in your kitchen, but it works perfectly for the cases. The rack is adjustable, heavy duty, and won’t tip over if the load is unbalanced. The last category of supplies are my larger tools which includes my Misti stamp platforms, foam tape, blending brush racks. I use these items a lot and I like to keep them as easy to get to as possible. For these supplies, I found another metal kitchen rack. This one is expandable and adjustable and keeps everything upright. If you want to see more check out my IG reel.

Distress Ink Storage
Take advantage of the fact that Distress Inks can be stored on their side by organizing them in a drawer or tray. I use mine in a chest of drawers from Michaels and use a divider system (Amazon link) that can be customized to perfectly fit your space.

Stencil Storage
Stencils can be easily bent and damaged, so they can be hard to store. To keep them safe and still make them easy to find, I use 8.5″ X 11″ presentation binders (Amazon Link) that have a hard cover and built-in document sleeves. For each sleeve, I slide in a piece of stiff cardstock which gives you two sides to add stencils. Check out the IG reel to see them in action.

Cleaning Tips

Brush Cleaning
I maintain two sets of blending brushes. One set is for light colors and the other is for darker colors. I do not separate the brushes by ink type because I clean as I go. This is easy to do (even with one hand) with a pump dispenser (Amazon Link). I press the head of the brush a couple times and rub off the ink onto a microfiber cloth.
