The Papertrey Ink August 2023 Release is live and I have a couple more cards to share! Fall is my favorite season and I adore all the fall goodies in this release. Fall goodies like the Delicate Trees stencils that I used for this card. This stencil set makes it so easy to create a whole forest of stylized trees. Since it’s a background stencil, I thought I’d make a bridge card to take advantage of the tall tree.
The sentiment is from the new Give Thanks set. The larger scale of the sentiments in this set works perfectly for a bridge card like this. I used one of the Love to Layer: Ovals dies to create the “bridge” and added a few colorful details with just the leaf stencils. To finish out the card, I added some ink blending around the edges, some misting, and some rainstones.
This next card isn’t a fall card, but could easily be adapted for any season! I used the new Fresh Florals stamps and dies. I absolutely love builder sets like these that allow you to mix and match to create totally custom scenes. I wanted to get a wreath feel by using the medium die of the Love to Layer: Delightful Brackets set.
The Fresh Florals set also has som beautiful sentiments like I one I used here. I wanted a brighter, fresher look to my card, so I used brighter colors, but I can’t wait to try this set with other color combos. For the background, I added a very subtle detail by using the new Exquisite Leaf Frame Hot Foil Plate to deboss the card front instead of hot foiling. You can do this by using your embossing pad in your die cutting machine. I blended some ink to bring out the debossing and I love the texture it adds. The final touch is a smattering of rainstones.
