Welcome back to the Papertrey Ink February 2023 Release Countdown! Today is Countdown Day 3 and we’re highlighting the new Iconic Easter, Larger Than Life: Spring dies, Larger Than Life: Spring Sentiments, and Happy Bunnies stamps and dies.
I’ve got two cards today using the Iconic Easter set, both paired with the Cover Plate: Quilted die. The squares of the Quilted die make a great frame for the petite stamps of the Iconic Easter set. So for this first card, I stamped an entire Quilted die panel in a pastel colors. If you’re playing along, I used Mint Julep, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Sweet Blush, Spring Rain, and Lilac Grace.
After I stamped the panel, I die cut an aperture with the oval die of the new Love to Layer: Beautiful Bracket die set to create a shaker card. I used the die cut piece to back the inside of the shaker which adds a little extra detail than just a solid color. Then I added the sentiment using the Larger Than Life: Spring stamps and dies. Such a fun card to make!
This next card uses a similar technique but is a more clean and simple style. I stamped inside the grid again but kept it to just two different stamps. Then I added a sentiment label that coordinates with the quilted pattern using the Love to Layer: Squares die and Spring Greetings stamps. To finish off the card, I added two extra details. I added a frame around the card by spray misting a panel with the same 4 colors I used on the card. Last but not least, I added a mini pompom to each of the bunnies. I love little details like this!
