It’s Papertrey Ink February 2023 Release time! This release is definitely looking towards Spring, and I’m here for all of it! Today I’ve got some first peeks from Countdown Day 1 and 2!

This first card pairs the new Psalm Reflections: February stamps and dies and Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate in a simple but bold card. I started this card by hot foiling the Ornate Swirls Hot Foil Plate in metallic gold onto metallic silver cardstock. If you’ve never tried foiling metallic cardstock, you really need to! The metallic cardstock takes the foiling perfectly and the result is almost jewelry-like. I layered the foiled panel over a dark Royal Velvet card front.

The sentiment is from the new Psalm Reflections: February stamps set and is stamped on a panel using the matching dies (the cardstock is Winter Wisteria). The final touch was just a few shiny metallic gold pearls.

This next card uses the new Vase Collection 15 stamps and dies and Love to Layer: Beautiful Bracket dies! The Vase Collection 15 stamps includes a set of beautiful cabbage roses, and I knew I wanted to stamp them up in yellow. The Vase Collection 15 stamp set includes some sentiments that perfectly fit the vase, and this particular one was just what I needed! Behind my stamped and die cut flowers I used the largest of the Love to Layer: Beautiful Bracket dies. Isn’t the shape of this die lovely? I blended a bit of Aqua Mist ink over it and misted it with some white paint spray. For the background I used the new Border Bling: Lattice die (more to come later this week on this die) and a panel of Bitty Big: Aqua Mist pattern paper.

My last card today uses the new Cornered: Spring Flowers dies. I’m really drawn to purple lately and this soft purple and light green combo is one of my new favorite combinations! I die cut the Cornered: Spring Flowers dies in Winter Wisteria and backed it with paper blended with Vintage Jadeite. The sentiment is the new Larger than Life: Spring set (more on that later this week) that was layered on die cuts using the new Love to Layer: Beautiful Bracket dies (large die cut) and Psalm Reflections: February dies (smaller die cut).

I cut the large layer in vellum and added glitter around the edge to dress it up a bit. To the card front, I added some white paint spray, more glitter, and a few mirrored sequins. I love that this one has lots of shine and bling, but still keeps that soft look.
