It’s time to get ready for the Papertrey Ink January 2023 Release! Today is Countdown Day 1 and I’ll be here on the blog highlighting some of the new goodies! Today I’m highlighting the new Elegant Edges: Balloon Party dies and Birthday Your Way stamps. If birthday cards are your most popular card make, this release is for you! The Elegant Edges: Balloon Party set comes with two dies, so you can choose to cut the edge or not. With this card I cut the edge. This time I “colored” the balloons by backing the die cut with colorful paper strips.
For the background, I thought I’d make a background shaker. I kept the shaker fillers clear and white so they give a little shine and movement, but didn’t get too busy next to the paper strips. The sentiment is from the new Birthday Your Way set. This set has a ton of different happy birthday sentiments in a variety of fonts to match different style cards. Love the cute font on this one!
This next card uses the same Elegant Edges: Balloon Party dies but I didn’t cut the edge. This time I colored the balloons by spray misting a background (Distress Oxide sprays). I used another sentiment from the Birthday Your Way stamps in a fun, playful font. That set also includes some mini add-on sentiments to customize your messages.
I am working on giving the inside of my cards some love, so I continued the spray misting inside. Then I added a final sentiment from the new Inside Greetings: From All of Us set. I tend to make cards from our whole family (or at least my husband and me), so the From All of Us sets will definitely get some use!
