The Papertrey Ink January 2024 release is live and full of lots of goodies! This first card uses the new Occasional Cupcakes stamps and dies. This set will be the only cupcake set you will ever need because it comes with stamps for almost any occasion. So you can dress up the cupcakes for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, birthdays, and more! I went with a fun Valentine’s Day theme with hearts and pearls. I love that this set has a few different options for icing too!
For the background of this card, I used the polka stencil from the Perfect Present Stencil Collection. I know this set will be one of my go-to sets because it has 4 different classic patterns: polka dot, stripe, lattice, and stripe plaid. I used a sentiment from the December release (Forever and Always Sentiments) and put it on a label die cut with the largest die of the new Love to Layer: Soft Scallops Die set.
This next card has a totally different style with a more CAS look and luxe color combo of deep purple and gold. For this card, I used the new Birthday Your Way II stamp set and Wrap-it Ribbons die set. I always need birthday cards and it’s nice to have a new birthday set that has lots of different sayings and styles. I went more upscale today, so I heat embossed the sentiment in gold onto Royal Velvet cardstock. The bow is layered, and I used a combination of metallic gold mirror cardstock and gold glitter cardstock to give a little more definition to the bow. I could have put the bow on the full A2 panel, but I wanted a little more detail and die cut a frame (Border Bling: Postage Frames) and a smaller panel (Love to Layer: Rectangles). The final details were the gold glitter card front to peek out behind the Postage Frame and a sprinkling of gold pearls.
This next card also uses the Wrap-it Ribbons die set with the Birthday Your Way II stamp set in a different style. This time I went springy with daisy die cuts using the new Into the Blooms: Daisies set. To give the ribbon die cut a more realistic look, I weaved it into the design of the label (Psalm Reflections: February). For the background, I used the lattice stencil from the Perfect Present Stencil Collection. I really love that large birthday sentiment!
Last but not least, I have a card using the new Reflections: January stamp set. This mini set is part of a new series like the Psalm Reflections series from last year. I paired this sentiment with the daisies from the Into the Blooms: Daisies set and made a vintage flower box using a previously-released stamp (Wood Plank Background stamp set).
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you check out the entire release at the Papertrey Ink website!
