Happy Monday everyone! It’s Papertrey Ink June Release Countdown Day 3 and we’re highlighting Floating By, Floating By Sentiments, Pool Water, and Feathered Friends Mini 24! These new goodies will give you summer vibes for days!

These first two cards use the new Floating By stamps and dies and Pool Water stencils. The Floating By set has a variety of pool floaties and I had so much fun making different fruits. I love that the slice stamp can be a watermelon, lime, lemon, grapefruit, and more!

For the background I used my new favorite stencils, the Pool Water set. They perfectly mimic the looks of light on a pool and I love that you get two of them so you can layer them. For this card, I used spray mist with one of the stencil. This gives a more loose look than ink blending, but it’s perfect for achieving more texture. The sentiment is from the Floating By sentiments and is on a die cut from the previously-released Vintage Travel Die.

This next card uses the same supplies, but uses a slightly different technique with the stencils. Instead of spray mist, I blended inks using both of the Pool Water stencils. The look is more soft has more movement. I also added an ombre effect to the pineapple floatie using 3 different inks. To get a soft blended ink look when stamping, use a sponge or a brush to apply ink to your stamp. By blending the ink on the stamp, you can get a soft gradient look. The frame is from the Border Bling: Postage Frames Die.

My last card today uses the Pool Water stencils in a slightly different way. The organic shapes of the stencil make a lush jungle look when done in shades of green. They deep green contrasts beautifully against the bright colors of the parrot of Feathered Friends 24. The Feathered Friends 24 stamp set is so lovely! I perched my parrot on a branch (from Feathered Friends 18). The fresh sentiment is from the new Just Sentiments: Friendship stamps set.

Are you feeling that summer vibe? If you want to see more, jump over to the PTI Blog for more peeks! I’ll be back tomorrow for the Countdown Day 4 with one more look at the June release!
