Hey everyone! It’s the first day of the Papertrey Ink March Release Countdown! The release countdown is starting off with a bang with the Vase Collection 8 stamps and dies, Totally Tulips stamps and dies, Elegant Edges: Lace die, Into the Blooms: Tulips dies, and Just Sentiments: Quotes stamp set.
My first card uses the newest from the vases line, Vase Collection 8 stamp and die! Technically it’s a watering can not a vase, but it is adorable! I paired it with the Totally Tulips stamps and dies that is perfectly scaled to the Vase Collection 8 watering can.
I fill the watering can with an arrangement that uses a number of stamps from the Totally Tulips set with a few sprigs from the previously released Sprigs & Sprays: Holiday set. I finished the card with an ink-blended and misted background, a die cut oval (Shape Shifters: Oval 2) and a sentiment banner (Banner Builder: Basics and With Love Mini).
My next card uses the new Elegant Edges: Lace die, Into the Blooms: Tulips dies, and Just Sentiments: Quotes stamp set. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers and I was so excited to see them as the new Into the Blooms dies! Each of the flowers come together so easily! I used my small ink blending brushes to shade each of the die cuts for a more realistic look.
For the background, I used the Elegant Edges: Lace die, twice! Instead of just cutting one edge, I used the edge on both sides of a piece of cardstock and ended up with a custom look. I love the new look and it makes a great place to put a sentiment!
