One of the cards that is the hardest to make but is one of the most appreciated by the recipient are pet loss cards. With these types of cards, I don’t make them ahead of time because each card is specifically made for the particular family and the lost pet. I made this card for a sweet lady I know who recently lost her beloved tabby cat. For this card, I used the new Paws Up die and the previously-released Oversized Heart sentiment set. The stamp set has a sentiment that all us pet families can relate to.
To make this card, I die cut a heart into the front of a card base. Then I put together a cat paw making sure to decorate both the front and the back (you’ll see why in a sec). I used a Copic marker to create the tabby stripes. Then I stamped the sentiment to the front and glued the die cut paw to the front of the card.
For the inside, I wanted to stencil the heart and the paw print, so I used a scrap piece of paper to create stencils using the dies. I made sure to line up the “paw print” with the die cut paw.
