I’m so excited for the Waffle Flower November 2023 Release Blog Hop because it’s filled with two things I love, cats and books! Cats and books just make me think “cozy” and that’s perfect for fall! Let’s check out the goodies, shall we?

This first card uses the new Catitude dies and Pet Thoughts sentiments. The Catitude dies are similar to the Best Friend dog dies, but this time it’s all cats. Just in case you’re wondering, the cats are the same scale as the dog dies so they can be used together! For this card, I used all the dies in a rainbow design for a more modern, graphic look. The Pet Thoughts set has ton of pet-related sentiments, but I thought this one was perfect.

This month also features lots of book-themed goodies. We are a family of bibliophiles, and I love all the new offerings this month. I went with vintage books with this card using the new Simple Books Stencil and the Simple Shelves Die. I used the stencil with embossing ink and heat embossed it in gold. Then I blended over it with lots and lots of inks! The Simple Shelves Die does double duty as a book shelf and to cut out these stenciled books! I tied up my stack of books and then added a fun tag with a sentiment from the Simple Book Sentiments stamp set. This set has a bunch of bookish sentiments that work great alone or on the spines of these stenciled books.

Last but not least, I’ve got my fave card this month. This one also uses the Catitude dies but with the new Cat Tree House die! I had so much fun putting this together! I started with die cutting the tree house and adding fun holiday lights. The christmas light dies are from the previously-released Christmas Tree Shaker die set. For a bit more sparkle, I used glitter paper for my lights.

Then I all I needed was the kitties! I used copics and colored cardstock to create a variety of cats in all different colors. The Catitude set comes with a huge variety of shapes from cats to kittens and poses. I think coloring the cats was my favorite part of this card! For the sentiment, I used one from the previously-released Christmas Critter stamp set.
