Hi everyone! It’s Countdown Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink October release and I’ve got another peek at the new release! Today’s card features the new Gingerbread Bakery set. This set is just adorable and has so many wonderful details! I’m on a rustic, cozy kick this month, and this set is just perfect for that theme. I started off with creating a rustic tabletop with the previously-released Wood Plank Background stamp. In the background, I also made a cute tea towel with linen cardstock stamped in red with the Nifty Plaid stamp.
To make my gingerbread cookies, I die cut them, blended them with inks, and then heat embossed the “icing” on top. Blending the ink gives the cookies a more natural look, but you can definitely used color cardstock. I also added a rolling pin from the set and a handmade cookie sheet. The cookie sheet is just a panel with rounded corners and then ink blended and spray misted to get the well-worn, rustic look. The sentiment is from the new Winter Globe Sentiments and stamped on a small circle label (die cut using the smallest of the Love to Layer: Scalloped Circle set).
