I’m a little behind this week, so today it’s countdown Days 3 & 4 of the Papertrey Ink September release for me!

My first card uses the latest in the vase series, Vase Collection 12! This time the “vase” is a charming milk can and I love it! This set comes with a bunch of fillers that you gives you lots of different looks especially if you mix up the colors. I decided to go with a fall theme, but I can’t wait to use it with a holiday or spring color combo!

For the background, I used the Dotted Hexagon Stencil Duo with white ink on Ocean Tides cardstock (one of my favorite combinations). The sentiment is from the new Just Sentiments: Peace stamps set and is stamped on a little label die cut (Love to Layers: Ovals die). The pumpkin is from the Fall Farmer’s Market set.

My next two cards are more CAS style. I love all different types of styles and I like to let the supplies lead me a certain way. So when I saw the with the new Bring Home the Holidays dies with all the little house dies, I definitely was feeling CAS. I created an aperture card by cutting the dome shape (from the Farm Fresh Tree die set) and creating an ink-blended background. The large word die is the new Larger Than Life: Peace dies which coordinates with the Larger Than Life: Peace Sentiments stamp set. To make the “PEACE” word die pop a little bit, I backed with another die cut in Smokey Shadow. This makes it easier to read and balances out the gray of the stamped sentiment.

My last card is also a CAS card and it was so easy to put together! I used all three of the new snowflake dies, Layered Snowflakes: Drift, Crystal, and Flurries, to make a triptych card. Each of these sets comes with a small, medium, and large version, so it makes it great for mix and match layering. I used white cardstock, blue glitter cardstock, and silver/holographic metallic cardstock. As an added detail, I made a base for each snowflake using the smallest of the new Love to Layer: Squares dies. I think that small detail really gives a more finished look. The sentiment was heat embossed with opaque glitter powder on black (Just Sentiments: Snow Mini stamp set).

Definitely go check out the PTI Blog to see more! The release is will go live tomorrow (September 29th) at 10 pm ET!

Aloha, jj
